Buses from Macclesfield to Manchester Airport set to be reintroduced

Macclesfield residents will soon be able to ride the bus to Manchester Airport.

D&G Bus has confirmed that the 130 will once again connect Treacle Town with the international airport.

The changes come into effect from Monday, January 26.

"D&G Bus has worked closely with Cheshire East Council to deliver improvements to service 130 with increased resources introduced to ensure a punctual and reliable service was achieved and which remains consistent and dependable between Macclesfield and Wythenshawe," reads the D&G Bus website.

"Following a further review of service 130 by Cheshire East Council, we are pleased to announce the route between Wythenshawe and Manchester Airport is scheduled to resume on Monday, January 26, 2026.

"Existing times between Macclesfield and Wythenshawe will remain unchanged."

2 hours? 2 hours! Id consider it if it took <1 hour and ran earlier and later but for now taxi it is, or park in Wilmslow and get the train

2 hours to get from Macc to Airport, London is only 1.50hr away, note it is off little use for travellers, most am flights are before then and arrive back later. If your staff do likely not get in for shift start time. A folley so they can't say we will charge you loads to get by car as we have public transport options
