A stunning poppy display has been installed outside a Macclesfield school.

Tytherington Treacles Women's Institute have created a 'poppy cascade' ahead of Remembrance Day.

Located outside Marlborough Primary School in Tytherington, the display was installed on Wednesday, October 29.

It features over 1,300 poppies that have been knitted, crocheted or hand sewn by the WI's members, friends and families.

The WI's handmade poppies will also be made into brooches and will available to purchase.

Funds raised will go towards the Royal British Legion.

"We are proud to support such a worthy cause," said Elaine Darcey, a committee member at Tytherington Treacles.
