New minibus for Macclesfield carehome
A Prestbury Road carehome has a new mode of transportation for residents.
The Cheshire Residential Homes Trust has announced the arrival of their new minibus, made possible through the generous support of their bid writers, local community, families and staff.
The Cheshire Residential Homes Trust is a not-for-profit charitable organisation that runs comprising of Upton Grange in Macclesfield as well as two other Cheshire carehomes.
After months of dedicated fundraising efforts, including summer fairs, bake sales, and a monumental walking challenge from Lands' End to John O'Groats (via treadmill!) by their staff teams, they have successfully raised the funds needed to acquire this vehicle as 'essential'.
"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to our fundraising endeavours, whether by participating in events, donating, or spreading the word. Your support has been instrumental in making this dream a reality," they said.
"Our new minibus has a tail-lift, a pull out step and all seats are removable, so we can accommodate several wheelchairs at a time.
"This will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing safe and reliable transportation for day trips and outings. It will enable us to offer enriching experiences and create lasting memories for those we serve.
"We look forward to continuing to serve our community and making a positive impact with the addition of our new minibus. Our residents and staff are busy making lists of suggestions for trips far and wide so look out for us and give us a wave!
"Thank you once again to everyone who has supported us along this journey."
