Co-op donates almost £250 worth of food to Macclesfield charity BBQ
A Macclesfield resident has received a bumper donation from Co-op stores in Macclesfield, to be used for a community event she is organiser.
Karen Sivewright, is organising the Big MND BBQ.
The Big MND BBQ is a fundraiser for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The charity get-together will take place this Saturday at Macclesfield Rugby Club.
The ticketed event, which will raise money for charity, will take place from 12pm to 4 pm.
And to help bring the party vibes, the Co-op in Macclesfield has donated £246.65 worth of goodies to be enjoyed by people that come to the event.
Co-op Member Pioneer Louise Little presented the donation to Karen at Ivymeade Co-op on Friday.
Tickets for The Big MND BBQ are free for under 4s, a fiver for kids under 12 and a tenner for adults, and include the BBQ food cost.
In addition to the BBQ, the event offers traditional fete like stalls, free football activities for Under 12's provided by Bollington United Football Club.
There will also be facepainting, tabletop games, opportunities to try pickleball and rounders, performances from over 350 members from the North West Regional Rock Choirs.
Elsewhere, there's some fantastic raffle prizes to win, including a mini signed bat and shirt from the England cricketer Stuart Broad, and a special Coronation Street raffle prize to be handed out by the Coronation Street cast members who are attending the event.
