Coronavirus: Tesco in Macclesfield is looking for five new recruits to meet increased demand

Tesco in Macclesfield is on the hunt for recruits to fill five positions that have recently opened up due to the increasing demand for online shopping during the lockdown.

The company said in the advert: "With the COVID-19 situation evolving every day, and unprecedented high demand, we urgently need to recruit extra temporary in-store colleagues. Working in our stores, you'll play a key role in keeping our shelves stocked, helping our customers get what they need during this challenging time."

Various shifts are available in the for the 'Personal Shopper' recruits and you will need to apply before the closing date on Friday (22nd May).

Duties include:

  • Picking customers online orders accurately so they receive the products they requested
  • Delivering department routines
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality
  • Championing the reduction of food waste
  • Following company policies and adhering to health and safety guidelines
  • Being knowledgeable about the products and services in my store and helping customers by giving great natural service

The company said that the temporary part-time roles are flexible to fit around your lifestyle and other commitments you may have with start times ranging from 2am to 6am.
