The Mayor of Macclesfield, Cllr David Edwardes, is pleased to announce the launch of this year's Civic Awards.
The awards recognise people who have given their time to make a difference to a community group or the town.
The nine award categories are:
- Community Involvement Civic Award
- Youth Civic Award
- Sporting and Leisure Civic Award
- Art and Culture Civic Award
- Environment Civic Award
- Independent Business Civic Award
- Ambassador of Macclesfield Civic Award
- Pride of Macclesfield Civic Award
- Lifetime Achievement Civic Award
The Mayor had this to say on the awards.
"Every year The Mayor and Macclesfield Town Council recognise the unstinting, selfless work of our Residents," he said.
"If you feel you know a person or a group that have gone "beyond the call of duty" to help us in some way please go to
this webpage where you will find all the info plus nomination form.
"The closing date is Friday 11 February, so you haven't got long."
