A familiar name in Macclesfield's town centre is turning a new page.
Lorena Polterac and her partner Jordan Scott have taken over Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE) on Park Green.
They acquired the business from long-time owner John Goodchild, who has been supporting the couple as they put their own mark on the shop.
Lorena said: "John has been blown away by the changes we've made to bring the business into the modern age."
Although MBE is an international brand, the Macclesfield shop is locally owned and run.
Lorena and Jordan took over the branch at the end of July - the first time the business has changed hands in 25 years.
Since then, they have introduced new digital systems while keeping the friendly, community-focused, atmosphere intact.
For now, the shop still reflects its 90s roots but a full modern rebrand is planned for next year.
Jordan said: "When I first came in here, I just saw a thousand folders, paper everywhere, an old-fashioned till.
"I knew everything needed to go online and be automated."

MBE offers a wide range of services including shipping, printing, design, logistics, and mailbox solutions, working with both large pharmaceutical companies and local small businesses.
As part of their community focus, Lorena and Jordan have introduced special rates for local artists, students, and small enterprises, aiming to make their services accessible to everyone in Macclesfield.
They also collaborate with local charities and community groups, strengthening local connections and encouraging small-scale creativity.
Jordan said: "We have big customers that have been with John for 20 years, and we want them to see that it's new, it's fresh, and we do put customers first."
The team has also grown, with Tracey Potts now managing the store after years of experience in printing and design, and Sarah Ollier recently joining to focus on logistics and auction services.
Both Tracey and Sarah have made a noticeable impact on customer service, creating a friendly, proactive environment that regulars have praised.
The company's commitment to service and transparency recently earned them a place among Macclesfield's Top 3 Best Courier Services, an achievement Lorena and Jordan say came as a complete surprise but also a huge motivation to keep growing.
Lorena said: "To see all that effort recognised with this award feels unbelievable.
"Passion and persistence can transform something that once felt impossible."
Jordan added: "We're on track to become the very face of MBE in the North area."
Looking ahead, Lorena and Jordan plan to expand with a larger auction and shipping hub while continuing to build their printing and design services for local clients.
