There will be one less bus cut for our area, as D&G have swooped in to provide permanent cover for a scrapped bus route.

Arriva announced earlier this month that they would be ditching 13 bus routes, including the No. 10 Macclesfield to Bollington.

But now, rival operator D&G have announced a timetable for the same route effective from April 23 2023.

Concerns had been cited over 'Bollington being shut off, from Macclesfield', but this view may no longer be held with the bus route being saved.

List of Arriva bus routes that would still no longer operate:

  • 6 Leighton Hospital - Shavington
  • 3 Macclesfield - Weston
  • 7 Winsford Local Circular
  • 1 Northwich Circular via Rudheath and Weaverham
  • 4 Barnton to Leftwich and Kingsmead via Northwich
  • 4 Macclesfield - Upton Priory
  • 5 & 6 Macclesfield - Broken Cross
  • 9 Macclesfield - Moss Rose

It follows a previous wave of services they pledged to save too.

The bus, which passed through Tytherington on the way to the Happy Valley, can have the timetable read HERE.
