MaccPride is back for 2025 and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The details of this year's Pride in Macclesfield have been confirmed.

Taking place in July, the event will feature dance troupes, tribute acts, drag queens and a parade through the town.

A spokesperson said: "MaccPride are absolutely thrilled for this year's MaccPride march and celebration event taking place on Saturday 5th of July!

"MaccPride committee have been working hard behind the scenes to bring together an event that truly reflects the spirit, diversity and vibrancy of our local LGBTQ+ family, friends and allies community.

"This year we are especially excited about the expanded program of live music, community stalls, family friendly activities and opportunities for connection across generations.

"MaccPride is all about visibility, inclusivity and joy and we can't wait to see the town come alive with colour, celebration and solidarity once again."

MaccPride 2025 is being held in Market Place from 10.30am to 6pm on Saturday, July 5.

Hosted by Stella Black, there will be live entertainment throughout the day, with Canalside Radio supporting the event.

At 11am the march will set off from Christ Church, making its way down Catherine Street and Chestergate before arriving in Market Place.

On the main stage, attendees will be able to enjoy Cher, Pink and Olly Aleander tributes and a display from local dance school, Bee Superior.

There will also be performances by Lucy Lou, PJ Taylor, Jay Mac, Tina Tuna and Kelley Tigerheart.

Meanwhile, St Michael's Church will be hosting a number of charity stalls as well as activities for children.

Macclesfield Town Council will put on free buses throughout the day.

Thankfully, you don't have to wait until July to enjoy the festivities, with MaccPride holding Picnic in the Park on Sunday, May 4.

From 11am to 4pm, Victoria Park will play host to a market, charity stalls, children's games, a bouncy castle, crown green bowling and the TRANSCEND football match.

There is also the return of the ever-popular dog show to find this year's Pooch of Pride.

If you would like to volunteer or have a stall at either of the events, contact [email protected].
