A Macclesfield school will welcome quizzers in to raise funds for a local charity.

East Cheshire Hospice, who provide support to those affected by life-limiting illnesses at their site on Millbank Drive, will be the beneficiaries for this week's quiz night.

Marlborough Primary School of Tytherington Drive, Tytherington, SK10 2HJ will host the event.

"During Covid East Cheshire Hospice quizzes went virtual, and while they were great fun and a wonderful way to stay connected with our community while raising much needed funds during the pandemic, we're so excited to finally get back together in person for this brilliant event," said the Macclesfield good cause.

"The quiz will take place on Friday May 20 at 6.45pm at Marlborough Primary School.

"Please note that there is a maximum of eight per team.

"Tickets include sandwich supper. Bar, raffle, and prizes on the night.

"The quiz will offer some tough trivia and (usually) friendly competition! Expect a sandwich supper with cakes and drinks at the licensed bar whilst the quiz masters test your knowledge.
