Students at the Fallibroome Academy are looking forward to the next stage in life after picking up their A-level results.

86 per cent of pupils at the Priory Lane school have gained places at their first-choice universities.

They will be heading to educational institutions across the country, from Durham, York and Newcastle to Leeds, Liverpool and London.

Headteacher, Ross Martland, said: "It has been a brilliant day at Fallibroome today!

"Our year 13 students deserve enormous credit for their excellent A-level grades.

"While they have worked incredibly hard to achieve these outstanding outcomes, they have also contributed enormously to the broader life of the school during their time here.

"They have consistently acted as role models for the other students in our community, who will now aspire to match the standards that they have set.

"They leave with our genuine thanks for their contribution to Fallibroome and our best wishes for their future studies and careers."

Pupils will be pursuing a wide range of subjects at university, including Tom going to Oxford to study law and Evie and Ben who will be heading to Cambridge to study education and engineering respectively.

There has also been growing interest in pursuing other post-18 pathways, with students being accepted on to prestigious apprenticeship programmes with Airbus and Ernst & Young among others.

Fallibroome also have students joining flight school training and others accepting places at Ballet Rambert and Mountview.

Jane Knott, director of sixth form, said: "It has been a real pleasure to work with such a lovely cohort of students and see them develop into independent young people.

"Throughout their time in sixth form they have shown great resilience and strength of character.

"We are proud and delighted to share their celebrations today and wish them every success in the future."

Jeremy Spencer, the CEO of The Halliard Trust, added: "We are so very proud of the A Level results achieved by Fallibroome Academy students this year.

"To see such a high proportion of students achieving the higher grades they need for the next steps of their education is truly heartwarming.

"My thanks go to all of those involved at the school and Trust in supporting the students to do so well."
