The firm behind the Adlington new town proposals is to give evidence in the House of Lords.
Niall Bolger, non-executive director at Belport Limited, will speak to the House of Lords Built Environment Committee on Tuesday, December 9.
This is the sixth evidence session of the second module of the committee's inquiry into new towns and expanded settlements.
Questions likely to be covered in this session include:
- How will witnesses ensure that early communities will have access to all the amenities that they need?
- How will witnesses ensure that good placemaking is incorporated into plan making?
- What steps will witnesses take to ensure that the community feels fully engaged during the development process?
The Adlington new town project is being led by Belport, a UK-based investment and management company, with Revcap as capital and delivery partner.
According to a website set up for the scheme, much of the Adlington site is owned by a joint venture between the two firms.
They are proposing to build 'at least' 14,000 modern homes with a mixture of low-to-medium rise apartments and town houses.
The evidence session, which is open to the public, takes place at 10.45am on Tuesday.
It will be held in Committee Room Two of the House of Lords and streamed live on Parliament TV.
