First look around Silk Museum's new interactive murder mystery game

There's been a murder!
Cardboard Clues are transforming the Silk Museum into a crime scene this summer for Murder in the Museum.
This interactive murder mystery game will see teams of up to six use an app on their phone to follow a trail of cardboard characters – both victims and suspects – hidden among the museum's historic silk looms, textile displays and ancient artifacts.
As visitors piece together the mystery, they race the clock on timed puzzles, decode cryptic clues and complete hands-on challenges to unravel three curious criminal cases, from a graffitied moustache to an Egyptian 'accident'.
New photos have provided a glimpse into what the experience entails.

Darrell Cannon, founder of Cardboard Clues, said: "Macclesfield's Silk Museum is home to everything from fascinating silk-weaving machinery to rare archaeological finds.
"By weaving our mysteries through these collections, teams will solve crimes together and experience the museum like never before."
Murder in the Museum arrives at the Silk Museum on on Saturday, May 17.
Visitors will be able to take part until Sunday, September 7.
Bookings are 'essential' and tickets can be purchased online here.
