Former Barclays bank in Macclesfield could become 'Dead Souls' restaurant and bar

A former bank looks set to be given a new lease of life.
An application has been submitted for a new premises licence for the old Barclays bank branch on Market Place, with work seemingly already underway to transform the property.
It has been submitted by a company called Secret Handshake Limited, which has a registered address in Covent Garden in London.
According to Companies House, the nature of the business is a licensed restaurant and a public house/bar.
Submitted earlier in October, the premises licence application adds that the new business in Macclesfield will be called 'Dead Souls'.
The application would allow the venue to sell alcohol from 10am to midnight Sunday to Wednesday and until 1am on Thursday to Saturday, with a closing time of 1.30am.
It also would allow for Dead Souls to play recorded and live music until 1am, Thursday through Saturday.
Members of the public have until October 29 to share their views on the application.
This can be done in writing to The Licensing Section, Cheshire East Council, Delamere House, Delamere Street, Crewe, CW1 2LL.
Alternatively, representations can be submitted via email to [email protected].
