Four Macclesfield nominees in upcoming awards ceremony
The organisation which provides Macclesfield with their Leisure Centre have announced nominees for an award ceremony.
The nominations for the Everybody Awards 2023 have been revealed.
And four Macclesfield individuals or organisations could win.
The Everybody's Awards evening will recognise a range of inspirational stories from individuals who have demonstrated amazing achievements in health, sport and physical activity.
The Awards will take place at the prestigious Crewe Hall in Cheshire on Friday 13th October, hosted by the fantastic Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.
The first local person nominated is Karen Heppenstall, of both Macclesfield and Congleton.
The cross-triathlete is against three other people in the Sports Personality of the Year category.
Next up is Community Initiative of the Year, which recognises good causes that take place inside leisure centre buildings.
Alongside Congleton Grizzlies Basketball Club and The Crewe Leg Club will be Andy's Man Club Macclesfield.
AMC, which started this January, is a men's mental health club which meets every Monday at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

Upon finding out about their nomination, attendee and co-founder Paul Clayton said: "Thanks to everyone who Nominated us on behalf of my fellow Facilitators Phil Mears, James Mather and Steve Gillson and more importantly you guys who 'walk through the door every Monday night'.
"Also a massive thanks to every person who likes and shares out Facebook post and helps spread awareness.
"Big thanks to Everybody Health and Leisure for the giving us the room at the leisure centre every Monday. Special thanks for the Mayor of Bollington for making us one of her charities of the year."
And there are two other Everybody Awards nominees from our town.
Of the three nominees in the Diversity and Inclusion Award, a Tytherington group of swimmers have been nominated.
The Mencap Marvels Beech Hall School – English Channel Swim Squad have been nominated for a gong.
Swimmers from the independent school on Beech Hall Drive have been raising funds for charity, as well as swimming impressive distances.
Finally, rounding out the Macc shortlist of nominees, there's a shortlisting for one of the backroom staff at Macc Town Ladies FC.
David Hubbard is one of four nominees in the Unsung Hero Award.
As well as find out out whether these Maxonians win, the event will announce an Lifetime Achievement award and The Chairman's award, which have no nominees.

The Everybody Awards 2023 are separate from the Everybody Junior Award, for which nominations are still ongoing for.
