A free movie night will show an eye-opening flick about plastic pollution.

Roe Street eco co-operative Scoop & Scales has teamed up with neighbouyrs Cinemac once more to deliver another movie night.

On Wednesday July 31, The North Drift will be screened at Cinemac.

In a rescheduled date, due to England's progression in the Euros, the German film highlights plastic pollution across Europe.

The synopsis reads: "After a profound experience on the Lofoten islands, German filmmaker Steffen Krones starts building GPS buoys to track the path of plastic waste from Dresden through German and international waters."

"His friend Kris Jensen, an Inuit tour guide in the North Polar Sea, talks about helping tourists understand humanity's influence on nature through plastic pollution."

Tickets to watch the movie is free, however, a donation of £5 is recommended to cover the costs of licensing the title.

Scoop and Scales Co-Founder Matthew Todd said: "It is going to be a fabulous and thought-provoking event."
