Friends who met through yoga decide to launch their own club

Two friends who met through yoga are launching their own club.
Yoga Social Club arrives in Macclesfield this weekend, bringing inclusive classes to local venues.
Emily Parker and Laura Dawson decided to go into business together, having only met for the first time earlier this year.
"I moved her last January, having never even stepped foot in Macclesfield before," said 33-year-old Emily, who works in advertising.
"I had heard such good things about the place and as soon as I came to visit I fell in love with it.
"At a new year Yin class at Fold Yoga Studio, I heard Laura saying she had just moved to Macclesfield.
"I went up and introduced myself and we've been friends ever since!"
She added: "We both felt a strong sense of community.
"Fold was somewhere that really spoke to the both of us."

'On a whim', Laura decided to sign up to a yoga teacher training course with Rise Academy, the school affiliated with Fold.
"Laura told me she had always thought about doing it and nearly became a teacher in India, so always thought 'what if'," Emily said.
"We've always been side0by-side in our yoga journey."
Upon finishing the course, Emily reached out to Yoga Social Club who offered her the chance to set up her own franchise in Macclesfield.
Yoga Social Club involves making partnerships with local venues, who agree to host yoga classes an hour before they open to the public.
The first session takes place at 8am this Friday (July 25) at Panadero Lounge.
On Saturday (July 26) it is the turn of Button Warehouse, starting at 10am.

Emily said: "Yoga Social Club is a unique business model in that it is truly community based.
"It's all about genuine collaborations with local venues which are mutually beneficial.
"You build your brands together. You get the space for free and in turn, you bring a premade community ready to buy food and drink."
She added: "The founder, Chrissie Whittingham, has a unique ethos when it comes to yoga.
"She doesn't believe in the exclusionary, quite alienating, practices of some others in the yoga world.
"Classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners and newbies who are curious to seasoned yogis."
Classes take a 'vinyasa' approach and are followed by an optional social, where attendees have the chance to mingle over coffee and cake.
Emily and Laura plan to hold multiple sessions each week in various venues around Macclesfield/
Emily said: "We can't wait to get started and meet as many members of the local community as possible!"
