9th May 2023 | Local News

There is a poverty fundraiser at a Macclesfield church this weekend.

The second weekend in May may be Eurovision weekend.

But for one Macclesfield church, it is the opportunity to help the nation of one of the competitors.

Macclesfield United Reformed Church, of Park Green, will be raising money for the Eastern European country of Moldova.

The Grade II listed building's 'Breadline Moldova' event will see a two hour coffee morning raising funds for charity.

Entrance is £1, with hot drinks, homemade sweet treats and a variety of wares for sale.

The Gothic Revival church, built in 1877, does numerous charity events throughout the year.
