It was a welcome sight for a gin vendor, being perched in front of what was recently an empty retail unit. Mill Street also looked better having one less vacant shop, as the new Clarks shoe store is set to open next month.

The sun was out, with a gentle wind at this Sunday's Treacle Market.

The Mother's Day Treacle Market Macclesfield saw buses from as far as Wales come to our town, in what felt like the most attended market of the year.
