Calling all performers, writers and spooky story lovers of Macclesfield.

Do you have what it takes to write and perform your own ghost story?

A contest has been launched to find Macclesfield's most fearful fable.

The ghost story competition has been organised by Macclesfield and Congleton performing arts company West Kingston Productions, to be held at a venue on Sunderland Street.

West Kingston Productions are putting on a showcase of local talent at The Snow Goose, Macclesfield on Friday November 4, and you could be in with a chance of winning a place in the lineup!

As well as having the chance to perform at the scare-filled line-up, you will also win 10% of the profit from the ticket sales of the event of which the winner will perform at.

The winner will also earn discounts for family and friends to come to the event (as will all entrants irrespective of victory).

The contest is free to enter. Each ghost story should be between 10 - 20 minutes narrated length.
