A new barber shop is opening its doors in Macclesfield next month after the launch of the business had to be delayed due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Owner of Parlour bespoke gents' grooming service Naythan McKenna had planned a grand opening this April bank holiday weekend, but the outbreak forced him to postpone.
The launch of the Mill Lane business is now scheduled for Saturday, 4 and Sunday, 5 July - with more than 50 lucky locals having snapped up free haircuts over the weekend, offered as part of the opening event.
Naythan, who has been cutting men's hair for more than eight years, is looking forward to his first solo business venture.
"It's always been my ambition to have my own business where I can create my own vision.
"Initially, there will be two chairs with myself and junior barber Lee Murphy.
"If demand dictates, and we get busy, we will bring in someone else.
"I want the business to grow at an organic pace as it's important that staff are looked after properly and have sufficient work."
Parlour will open on a strict appointment-only basis, with a number of measures in place to maintain safety and hygiene including disposable gowns, hand sanitisers and face masks, available on request, for customers with Naythan and Lee wearing gloves and disposable aprons.
Appointments can be booked online by clicking here and all services are being offered at half price from Monday, 6 July until Sunday, 19 July.
