Headteacher helps Bollington school move a step closer to new outdoor classroom

A headteacher has helped his school move a step closer to getting a new classroom.
The Bollington Cross C.E. Primary School community came together earlier this month for the 4x4x48 Challenge.
In doing so, they have raised vital funds for a new outdoor classroom, providing students with a valuable learning environment that encourages creativity, wellbeing and a stronger connection to nature.
Among to take part was headteacher Yenson Donbavand, who underwent a hip replacement surgery just a few months ago.
He said: "Wow, what a challenge that was!
"I am so proud that so many pupils, parents and governors joined us for parts of this epic event!
"Raising so much money whilst being able to motivate, inspire, have fun and dig deep into my resilience is something I will never forget.
"The outdoor classroom is a step closer, or to be more precise about 60,000 steps closer! Well done to all involved!"

Starting at 4pm on Friday, June 5, Mr Donbavand and the Bollington Cross team ran, jogged and walked 4km every four hours for 48 hours.
This included a night hike up to White Nancy.
At the time of writing, the 4x4x48 Challenge has raised over £1,800 for the school's new outdoor classroom.
