Staff and students at Fallibroome Academy are celebrating 'superb' GCSE results.

Headteacher Ross Martland says he is 'delighted' with the results achieved by this year's year 11 cohort.

Among the highest achievers are Isabelle Hague, who managed nine grade 9s and one grade 8, and William Harding, who secured eight grade 9s and two grade 8s.

Many of the pupils at Fallibroome will be returning to the school in a few weeks' time to begin their A-levels.

Mr Martland said: "We were absolutely delighted to celebrate our GCSE results with our year 11 students today.

"They have worked incredibly hard to achieve these outcomes, so we are thrilled to see their efforts bear fruit in such a spectacular manner.

"At the same time, our year 11 students have contributed enormously to the life of the school over the last five years.

"Many have represented the school with distinction in our sports teams, performing arts productions, debating and other extra-curricular pursuits.

"They have also acted as role models for our younger students and have set a high standard for other students in the school.

"We thank all our year 11 students for their positive contribution to Fallibroome during their time here.

"We wish them every success in the next stage in their education and look forward to welcoming many of them back into our sixth form in the next few weeks."
