Start the new year off by supporting an important local cause.

East Cheshire NHS Charity has launched its '50k Your Way' campaign, inviting the community to complete 50 kilometres throughout January in any way they choose - whether that's walking, running, cycling, swimming, rowing or wheeling.

Participants can spread the distance across the entire month and mix activities to suit their lifestyle, with the charity encouraging everyone to aim for a fundraising target of £50.

Lily Preston, fundraising and events manager, said: "50K Your Way is a fantastic opportunity to start the year feeling positive, active and connected to your community.

"Every step, pedal or stroke you take helps us fund projects that make a real difference for patients and families.

"We'd love to see as many people as possible join in and make an impact."

Schools and businesses across East Cheshire are being encouraged to sign up as groups.

By signing up together, teams can support local NHS services while promoting healthy habits and positive wellbeing.

Funds raised through the challenge will support initiatives that enhance patient experience, provide additional equipment and improve facilities across East Cheshire NHS Trust.
