Earlier this month, Macclesfield-based synth rock band The Cinema Show held a charity performance to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice.

The event was held at MADS Theatre, an independent venue on Lord Street, on July 9.

Through their contributions, ticket sales and donations on the evening, the final total reached £1682 for East Cheshire Hospice.

The Cinema Show is an electronic 'history' rock band, blending their music with archival recordings and film footage to bring moments of historical significance to the centre stage.

The band performs at MADS Theatre on Saturday July 9.

The final performance of their 2022 tour saw the addition of new band members, and a highly eclectic musical experience based on great historic events.

These included Super Saturday at the London 2012 Olympics, the Festival of Britain in 1951, and The Manhattan Project.

The homecoming show is expected to be followed by new music from Doug and Dave Skelton.

The event was sponsored by Macclesfield-based independent PPE distributor Intersafety, and their key partner suppliers as part of an ongoing community engagement project.

Adlington Industrial Estate PPE business Intersafety kindly sponsored the event.

Macclesfield furniture dynasty Arighi Bianchi also sponsored the event.

Both the band and the sponsors wish to thank everyone who contributed to a truly amazing night, and a phenomenal result.
