Macclesfield: 18,000 people watch YouTuber walk the Middlewood Way

A YouTube video has acquired 14,000 views in two days, filmed in our area.

YouTuber Trekking Exploration has uploaded a video walking the Middlewood Way, the former Macclesfield to Marple Railway which spanned 11 miles.

Trains operated for 101-years, until the last train left in 1970.

The video details the history of the shared path, and the former Bollington Railway Station.

In the video, he praises the friendliness of Bollingtonians.

YouTube commenters has also praised the video's relaxing nature.
