Macclesfield: Bollington charity bus to aid Christmas shopping for those who don't drive
A charity community bus service will help the local Christmas shopping economy.
In July, The Bridgend Centre in Bollington launched their new service 'Shuttle to the Shops'.
The service is an affordable bus tour round local retail parks and town centres.
And the Palmerston Street charity have revealed this schedule for the rest of the year of places the bus will visit.
The remaining six destinations have been confirmed. Future destinations include Macclesfield's Barracks Mills and Lyme Green Retail Parks, and Dobbie's Garden Centre in Marple.
Anyone is welcome to use the service, but it is particularly beneficial for those who do not drive.
The charity was founded on principles of preventing isolation, and bringing the community together.
It costs £4 per trip. Cash paid upon arrival at The Bridgend Centre, where the bus sets off.
In addition to the above dates, there is also another a seventh date, to be held on not the usual Wednesday.
A one-off, trek to the Trafford Centre will take place on Saturday November 25. Details on the poster above.
Shuttle to the Shops has been praised across Cheshire East, including by Macclesfield's MP.
