A Bollington singer-songwriter has released an enchanting second single from her debut album.

Hanged Man, comes from Megan Dixon Hood's first-ever LP, which is currently being polished.

The 26-year-old, who has over 200,000 plays on Spotify and 1,000 monthly listeners, is currently the most popular musician from the Happy Valley.

Hanged Man was initially meant to be an album only-track, but captivated her and her band enough to become a single.

"This song is about how something ends to make way for something new," she said.

"It's about taking a step back to gain a new perspective, waiting in limbo and having the patience to watch things unfold. Good things will come.

"Hanged Man spiralled into lots of fun different directions musically and we decided just to run with it.

"It was never intended to be a single but there's just something about the magic of it that I couldn't escape and I wanted to share. I hope you'll find that magic too."

Megan, who was born in Macclesfield but lives in Bollington, often treks to Bollington's White Nancy for creative inspiration.

Her debut full-length release, which is currently untitled, will be released in this year.

The Bollingtonian often walks through Macclesfield Forest and to White Nancy for creative inspiration.
