It is never too early to think about Christmas… 

And a Bollington restaurant is inviting the Cheshire business community for a bit of Yuletide fun in September. 

Later this month, KIRA by Sunitha will be hosting their inaugural Christmas Showcase. 

The Palmerston Street restaurant, which blends British seasonal ingredients with Indian cuisine, are inviting all local companies who are planning on hosting a big or small Christmas party this winter to come for a taster.

Dishes from their current summer menu are currently pictured, including their Kale and Onion Bhaji, Bangalore Style Fish Masala Puri, Rhubarb and Ginger Dhal, Roast Pork Vindaloo and Lemon Rice. Seasonal twists will be added for the winter months. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

Restauranteur Sunitha explained what the Christmas Showcase is all about: 

"It's never too early to talk about Christmas," said Sunitha.

"We are bringing Christmas early to September, to give a flavour of what's to come.

"We believe we are the first restaurant in Cheshire to launch and host Christmas in September.

"On September 21 from 6pm we will be showcasing all that KIRA has to offer over the festive period. 

"From our delicious Christmas cocktail specials to our mouth-watering canapés, expect a fabulous evening of networking and a taste of what's to come over the next few months as we approach the festive season." 

"It is particularly focussed towards companies that have 20 to 250 employees, and by hosting this Showcase they can come experience KIRA dressed for Christmas and get access to the private dining room experience."

The only requirements to attend the showcase are that your company has over 20 employees for a prospective party, and you pre-book (for free) to attend the Showcase. 

Two people per company are allowed to attend the Showcase, on Thursday September 21. For example, the business owners and the company Christmas party organiser could attend. 

"We are keeping the menu secret," teased Sunitha.

"Christmas is all about the magical experience and wonder of unwrapping presents, so you will be able to find out what KIRA has to offer for your Christmas party at the Showcase.

"In addition to the Showcase, and being able to be booked for Christmas parties for coming months, we will also provide outside catering for those who are celebrating their Christmas party at the office, so we can bring a piece of KIRA to you."

As well as samples of the best food KIRA has to offer, entertainment and Saint Nick himself will attend the Showcase. 

Any Christmas party bookings made at the Showcase will raise money for the Cheshire children's charity The Joshua Tree.

The public can also come to a similar Christmas preview event the day after, but again pre-booking is preferred, and it costs £30pp.

In other news, the restaurant has recently become available on Just Eat, meaning you can get KIRA's dishes delivered to your door.

Their vegetarian dishes has also recently saw them be named 'The Best Vegetarian Restaurant in Bollington' by the website Restaurant Guru. They also sell meat and fish dishes, which also earn rave reviews.

KIRA's decorations will be done by Cheshire and Merseyside company The Christmas Decorators.
