Macclesfield charity submits new planning application

A Macclesfield charity are aiming to improve their flagship site.

The Windyway Trust, who are an animal rescue centre on Buxton Old Road in Sutton, are seeking to spruce up their rural Macclesfield headquarters.

It regards the demolition, Replacement and Improvement of existing facilities at their animal rescue hub near Tegg's Nose.

Macclesfield Nub News reached out to The Windyway Trust, for comment on the changes being made to Windyway's Kennels and Animal Sanctuary.

Christine Earles of Windyway Trust said: "The planning application is to switch things around, mainly for the feral cats and cats awaiting rehoming but also to create a meet and greet area for potential rehomers of any of our animals."

"It's going to be so lovely and so much better for both staff and animals."

The latest application is part of big plans for 2024 for Windyway.

The good cause have already told Macclesfield Nub News of plans to open up a third charity shop in Mid-January, and now have this potential rehoming facilities to be improved as well.
