A Macclesfield animal charity is to fill a vacant building in Macclesfield.
Sutton good cause Windyway Trust - who already have two charity shops on Chestergate, will have a third site for bulkier items that can't fit in their current shops.
This means there's even more chance to find a bargain on pre-loved furniture and electronics in Macclesfield, while supporting a good cause.
This new site will be in the old Dulux building on Churchill Way, and operate similar to how Age UK's furniture showroom operated until it shut last year. (Or Sue Ryder's does now).
Christine Earles of Windyway Trust said: "Windyway Trust are delighted to have leased the building to sell preloved furniture, pet related items, electricals and more.
"These are all bigger items we have donated to us that do not fit in our smaller shops on Chestergate."
Already a shining light in the community, this new site will now allow them to help even more animals.
The opening date will be Saturday January 6, 2024.
If you want to volunteer at the new site, don't wait, why not get started at their current sites on Chestergate's west side.
They also have a site on Crompton Road where they store larger items like sofas, but this new site is much larger and will be able to accommodate more items.
"We feel that the people of Macclesfield are incredibly generous, kind and thoughtful, their support is very much appreciated for our charity," added Christine.
"We do our best to support our community and work with other charities.
"We hope the people of Macclesfield will continue to support us and visit our new shop."
The new Churchill Way site is not the only news fhe 18-year-old charity has to report.
Their pet food bank has now reached the milestone of supporting 200 families, helping out Macclesfield pet owners during the cost of living crisis.
