Macclesfield Male Voice Choir (MaccMVC) have a busy schedule of concerts to the year end, both in Macclesfield and the nearby town of Wilmslow - where a Nub News site has recently launched.
The Macclesfield Male Voice Choir has been blessing our ears with their silky voices for 69 years. In 2025, they will celebrate their 70th anniversary.
And the choir, which rehearses at Broken Cross Methodist Church, has just announced their final trio of concerts, before their milestone anniversary year begins.
First up is 'A Musical Mix' with Macclesfield Male Voice Choir, who will be sharing the stage for the third time in recent years with Wilmslow ladies choir Backbeat A Cappella, and also barbershop quartet Tickety-Boo.
This concert will take place on Saturday October 19 at Wilmslow United Reformed Church on Alderley Road at 19.30.
Three different musical styles and programmes will once again make for a very enjoyable evening.
Tickets at £12 (£5 for under 18s) are available from email [email protected] or call 07471 230513. They are also available from Bang & Olufsen, 50 Alderley Road, Wilmslow, as well as the outlets for the Macclesfield events below.
The choir then have their annual Remembrance event at Macclesfield Methodist Church, on Westminster Road on Saturday 9th November at 19.00. Parking is at the adjacent Whalley Hayes Carpark.
Appropriate music will be sung and played, as well as a short Act of Remembrance. Tickets are £10.
A complete change of style follows on Saturday 7th December for a concert titled 'West End to Macclesfield!'
This gig features well known soloist Denise Leigh, who together with the choir will be showcasing many well known songs from the popular musicals and shows. The venue is St. Michael's & All Angels Church, on Market Place Macclesfield.
Tickets for the later two events will be available about a month before each concert date, at the Tourist Information Centres in Macclesfield and Congleton, Bollington Library and Knutsford Heritage Centre.
The slogan of Macclesfield Male Voice Choir is 'Friendship Through Song'.
