An independent business in Macclesfield town centre is doing a fundraiser for a beloved charity.

Mill Street haberdasher Crafty Corner is doing a fundraiser for Space4Autism this May.

Ruth Eaton, of Crafty Corner, told Macclesfield Nub News more.

Crafty Corner is located at 81 Mill St, Macclesfield SK11 6NN.

"We are fundraising for Space4Autism to help them fund their craft activities at their summer fete," said Ruth.

"Our one-day fundraiser will take place on Saturday May 18 from 10.30 am til 2.30pm.

"There will be hot drinks and tasty treats available to buy, and all money raised will be donated to Space4Autism so they can buy craft supplies for their users.

Lisa Warburton, Communities & Projects Manager at Space4Autism said: "Our Fundraising Family Fun Day is taking place on Sunday 18 August from 11am-3pm at Lifestyle Fitness on Macclesfield College site.

"We are very grateful to all our sponsors including Crafty Corner for holding a fundraising day for us. We will be using the funds donated by Crafty Corner to provide craft activities at our event for families to enjoy together for example make your own suncatcher, make your own Disney/animal crowns, rock decorating etc. Without the support of local businesses we would not be able to offer such activities so we really are most grateful.

"Thanks also to support from Lifestyle Fitness Macclesfield, Blue Beck Ltd, Bristol Street Motors, AstraZeneca, Dignity Funeral Services. As a result, we are able to provide this event to offer families various free fun accessible and inclusive activities whilst also raising funds for S4A.

"People can find out more about our services and join as members on our website."
