An online fundraiser has been launched for the victims of a house fire, which damaged a home earlier this week.
On Monday morning, firefighters tackled a fire at a property on Fitz Close, Tytherington.
Three fire engines from Macclesfield, Bollington, and Wilmslow were in attendance, arriving from 9:01am.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service summarised the incident as follows: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a fire on the ground floor of a semi-detached home which had also spread to the eves of the roof.
"All occupants were accounted for. Police were on scene to manage the traffic due to the number of fire crews in attendance."
Fast-forward to today, a crowdfunder has gained traction, in aid of the family affected by the blaze.
Victoria Blatchford, who is an in-law of the residents affected, launched the GoFundMe page.
"I set this page up for a family member who has sadly suffered a house fire," she said.
"She may have lost everything, the whole house has suffered smoke damage along with internal and external damage.
"She is currently having to stay in alternative accommodation with her two children and partner, but this can not be long term so wanting to help where I can to make things a little easier for her.
"It is going to take some time to get their family home back to how it was, so anything you can donate or support with will be greatly appreciated."
So far, the crowdfunder has raised £1250, already doubling the initial £500 goal.
The funds will help the family of four in the aftermath of the fire.
Beyond the photo at the top of the article, Victoria confirmed to Macclesfield Nub News that there is "A lot more damage caused downstairs, and smoke damage throughout the whole property."
