Two Macclesfield residents will cycle over 120 miles from Bristol to London, to raise money for the people of Palestine.

It is in response to the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, part of a national charity effort called 'The Big Ride for Palestine', in association with the charity Middle East Children's Alliance.

Greg and Anna Hughes are to cycle from Bristol to Oxford to Luton to London to link up with many other Brits taking part in the challenge.

The Maxonian's have already raised £2,060 on JustGiving, which has already beat their £2,000 target they aimed to raise.

"We are riding from Bristol to London on our tandem for GlobalGiving because we believe that Palestinian people should be free," said the pair.

"Please support us to raise some much needed cash, to help the children of Gaza to have a slightly better life."

They hope to raise money for a kids playground in Gaza.
