Macclesfield: can you identify anyone in this photograph?

Macclesfield Museums need your help providing information about this photo.

As part of their ongoing quest to document our town's culture, Macclesfield Museums have unearthed this print from their archives.

The image of Frosts Mills Prize Jazz Band is believed to have been taken from 1929-1935. Could you help work out the exact date?

Unfortunately, there is no information about the people in the photo, or where it was taken.

The sign carried in the centre of the photo reads: 'Silktown Prize Jazz Band W M Frost & Sons Ltd. Park Green Mills Macclesfield".

But it is not known if the photo was actually taken on Park Green. The crowd are shot in front of a business, the name of which reads partially obscured as 'Deacon _____nk Ltd.'

There are 42 young boys and girls posing for the pic, are presumed to all be from Macclesfield.
