The new academic year may have only just begun.

But we are just days away from the first school places deadline, for children starting a new school in the next academic year.

Those seeking to secure their ten or 11-year-old a place at a Macclesfield secondary school for the 2025-26 academic year (staring September 2025) must apply by the end of next month.

Parents and guardians have until October 31 to register for a secondary school place for their child.

For this current academic year, it was revealed earlier this year that 83.3% of parents got their first choice secondary school in Cheshire East last year.
