Macclesfield fish and chip shop goes up for sale as owner begins 'next chapter in life'

A Macclesfield fish and chip shop is up for sale.
Jordan's Crompton Road Chippy has hit the market, with a for sale sign now hanging over the shop.
Owner Charlie Jordan says after two years behind the counter, he is ready to focus on the 'next chapter' in his life.
A post shared by the chippy on Wednesday, March 11, reads: "We have really enjoyed our time here on Crompton Road and have felt so lucky to have been able to serve you guys with fantastic fish and chips.
"After two years of ownership now and taking it on when I was 16 I have other things set out for my future which don't involve staying in the chippy anymore.
"We are not just closing the doors I will be here with the same smile on my face right until it does sell to one lucky new owner
"Thanks so much for the support over the past two years and if you could keep it up until we sell up that would be amazing. There will be no drop in quality or passion in the food I'm just ready for my next chapter in life.
"We are open as always today and will stay open right until the end have a great day everyone thank you so much."
The Rightmove listing describes the business as a traditional fish and shop that is 'well established' and 'well equipped'.
On the market at £40,000, the venue seats 25 diners and enjoys brings in up to £3,000 every week.
The listing reads: "Located on a busy corner site, within a large residential area with ample surrounding on street parking and being close to other businesses, this site benefits from high levels of passing trade, taking £2,800 - £3,000 per week."
