An aerial dance and fitness club has found a home to call its own.

Aerial Arts Macclesfield will soon swing open the doors to its new studio at Brook Street Mill.

Owner Rose Jones is looking forward to having her own space in which she can share her love of aerial fitness.

The 39-year-old said: "I'm excited, nervous… all the emotions!

"I genuinely cannot wait to open the doors and share our new space with everyone!"

Up until now, Aerial Arts Macclesfield had been operating out of Sylk Dance Academy.

Rose said: "I'm so grateful to Amy Mayers at Sylk Dance Academy for giving me the opportunity to begin teaching aerial classes under my own business name 'Aerial Arts Macclesfield'.

"Amy fully supported me knowing that I would eventually move into my own space!"

The new studio has been fitted with a professional truss rigging system, designed to safely support aerial equipment by distributing weight evenly and providing secure rigging points.

This allows equipment to be installed and adjusted properly, which is important for health and safety in aerial training.

With the new setup, the studio will be able to offer a wider range of aerial disciplines including silks, hammocks, aerial hoop, trapeze and gymnastic rings.

While the focus will remain on aerial arts, the space will also be available for other activities such as yoga, callisthenics, strength and conditioning and studio hire.

Rose will also be able to run classes at more convenient times, making it easier for people to attend and enjoy the sessions.

The studio's grand opening takes place from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, March 21.

There will be a range of activities to get stuck into, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Rose said: "At the launch event, there will be aerial demonstrations, everyone will be able to try some of the equipment and have a look around the new studio.

"Hopefully it will be a fun couple of hours for people to come and discover what aerial arts is all about."
