Looking for a space to host your next event?

Sylk Dance Academy are opening up their studio on Brook Street to the wider community.

Principal Amy Myers sees it as a way of connecting with other local independent businesses.

She said: "We only use the space in the evenings usually and it's a real shame for it to go to waste.

"We want to help other community activities and groups to grow their business and members.

"By sharing our space they will bring new people to the studio who maybe weren't aware of Sylk before, and in turn we advertise their classes to our families.

"It's a brilliant way to support each other and already works with the two businesses that share our space - Pilates for Health and Aerial Arts Macclesfield."

As well as supporting other local independent businesses, hiring out the studio will help Sync Dance Academy cover ever-increasing costs such as rent and energy bills.

"We hope that by having it used more regularly when we aren't there we can take the edge off these rising costs," Amy said.

The studio has already hosted a number of non-dance events, including a baby shower and a birthday party with a bouncy castle.

Amy added: "We have put a lot of money in to making our space a fantastic facility that could be suitable for a number of activities from martial arts to baby classes or even art clubs!

"The possibilities are endless!

"It's a beautiful building in central Macclesfield with big windows, beautiful light, mirrors, purpose fit dance floor, gymnastics mats, reception area, and much more!"
