A Macclesfield furniture shop has launched a double whammy of celebrations, in what will be their 170th year in business.

Arighi Bianchi, based on the Silk Road in Macclesfield, was established by Italian immigrants who left an Italian village near Lake Como for Macclesfield to 1854.

In 2024, the family business is celebrating their 170th anniversary, with a packed events calendar throughout the summer.

To launch the start of their 170th anniversary celebrations, they have launched not one but two big contests for the public to enter.

These competitions are in addition to a soon-to-be-announced events, that you can keep an eye on their site and socials for.

The first contest, gives Maxonians and customers of the historic store a chance to live their California dreams.

Additionally, shoppers can enjoy £170 off every in-store spend of £1,700 or more, to mark the 170 years since the Macclesfield furniture brand was established.

Arighi Bianchi, located inside a Victorian Grade II* Listed building, is one of the surviving institutions connecting Macclesfield to the town's world-famous silk history.

Beyond the next event on May 16, Arighi Bianchi will be running a half-marathon for Macclesfield charity East Cheshire Hospice towards the end of this month.
