What would Christmas be without a real Christmas tree adorning your house? However, once it is all over, it can feel like a bit of a bother. (Or deadwood, if you will!)

But what about the inconvenience of disposing of your tree, especially as now the Cheshire East green bin collections will become a paid subscription in January? No problem, as a Macclesfield charity is here to help.

Simply use the East Cheshire Hospice Christmas Tree Collection, and the Millbank Drive good cause will come to your property to take the tree away for recycling.

A spokesperson for East Cheshire Hospice said: "2024 will be our 24th year of doing the East Cheshire Hospice Tree Collection."

"On the weekend of 13/14 January 2024, we shall once again be collecting your Christmas trees to dispose of them in an eco-friendly manner.

"You need to book in for a collection and at the same time you will have the opportunity to donate to our local East Cheshire Hospice.

"Simply log on to our website www.echtrees.org.uk to register. If you need to talk to us, please phone 01625 708939.

"Finally, why not tell your family, friends, and neighbours about this amazing service by word of mouth or via social media?"

The Collection only covers the postcode areas of CW12, SK9, SK10, SK11, SK12 & WA16. Queries can be emailed to [email protected].

Once again, Macclesfield residents can sign up HERE.
