Today, we head to Upton Priory where a care village on Kennedy Avenue are after a new cook.

Belong are an long-running Macclesfield not for profit provider of person centred care for the elder generation; specialising in dementia care.

As we enter their 16th year, they are hiring in their kitchen team.

The Belong catering services are an integral part of their villages, cooking for both residents and the public from the Belong Bistro kitchen.

They want the very best cooks who will ensure that people come back time and time again. As one of the few lunch spots in Upton Priory, it of the utmost importance to make delicious food for everyone. So passionate chefs are needed!

The pay for this role starts at £11.05 per hour. It could be more, dependent on time and experience.

In a statement, Belong Macclesfield said: "As a Cook, you'll be working with the catering team to provide our customers with experiences that are memorable for all the right reasons.

"Our Cooks are responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the kitchen and catering services within the village and most importantly for producing food that is delicious as well as nutritious and attractively presented. We see good food and hospitality as the glue that holds a successful event or special occasion together.

"You should have the kind of personality that wants to achieve at all times, and the skills to ensure that food is presented fresh, appetising and tasty every time.

"Belong Macclesfield offer support for life within a vibrant community, where care can be provided but an individual's needs and lifestyle can continue to be enjoyed. A place our customers can call 'home' and relationships between our customers and support workers blossom. Our staff, customers and families work together to create purpose and meaning to the day where there is a feeling of security and experience, a sense of Belonging.

Belong Macclesfield is a state-of-the-art dementia care village in north west Macclesfield, run by not-for-profit operator Belong, who also have a local site in Crewe. Up to 72 people can live at their Macclesfield site.

140 staff are employed by Belong Macclesfield, with 105 of them being based in our town, and just over ten working in their Bistro.
