Back to the Receptionist job, it would be perfect for a first job for a young person wanting to help out on the frontline in these times of extended crises.

It would also make a great return to the workplace for maternity or paternity leave parents.

It offers £18,028 a year Pro Rata for a part time role.

You need a GCSE pass in English Language and maths. A driving licence is desired but not required.

Customer service experience is essential, even if it is in another sector like hospitality.

The permanent position promotes flexible working. The ability to work Saturdays (8am 2pm) and every Sunday (between 9am 1pm) is key.

The Macclesfield Receptionist job requires you to welcome patients in an equitable way, and direct to appropriate services presenting a positive manner.

All telephone calls must be answered, and to deal with enquiries efficiently in a prompt and friendly service so that the caller receives a good impression of the centre.

The pandemic has caused a huge backlog of cases, and hundreds of phone calls a day. So keeping cool and collected is desired.

To take accurate messages, checking and recording details and passing to doctors or other staff is a key skill. As is respecting and protecting patient confidentiality.

But it isn't just a sit down job. They'll be tidying of the reception area, and ensuring all rooms are set up correctly to meet the needs of the hard-working clinicians using the rooms.

There will also be opportunities to provide chaperone support for clinical staff when required.

Liaising with Clinical Transport services ensuring the safe and timely dispatch of clinical specimens to Macclesfield Hospital will also be a key potentially life-saving duty of the job.

Experience with card payment machines would be good to mention, as you will process occasional transactions as required by Audiology Services.

This will be included in the record of daily financial transactions and end-of-day readings.

Your work day will begin and end with helping with the Health Hubs opening and closing procedure.
