Today's featured Job of the Week is one we are delighted to reveal first to the people of Macclesfield.

Audio, art and apparel store Proper Sound, which opened in late October, is hiring a new staff member.

The family-run business which sells records, hot drinks, light bites, alcohol, and merchandise, is looking for one person over the age of 18 to help them around their one-of-a-kind venture.

The part-time would be great for someone who is after a bit of extra money, and wants an exciting job in retail.

Whether it is preparing coffee or selling records, there's no other job quite like this in Macclesfield.

Responsibilities include kitchen duties please, helping assist in the delivery of a simple menu, which is currently being revamped.

Hours will vary week by week, but there will be a guarantee of more work in the summer, as the outlet has outdoor seating in the front and back of the store, along with an evening alcohol licence.

The store would love to open seven days if a permanent staff member is hired - so you can help grow the trendy and forward-thinking store.

Pay is dependent on experience, and you must be 18 or over to apply due to boozy drinks being served.

And if you love music and collecting records, it will certainly help, as it is in this store's DNA.

Previous bar and retail experience is desired, and should be referenced in your CV and cover letter.

Monday - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Wednesday - CLOSED

Friday - 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Sunday - 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
