Back to today's festive vacancy, you can answer emergency vet phone calls over the festive season, with excellent pay.

Vets Now of 38 Cumberland Street need a friendly voice to help direct people through the service of their veterinary surgery, amid the chaos of Christmas.

You will be on call to answer calls, to help offer advice and organise appointments for poorly pets.

This Temporary Christmas and New Year Vet Receptionist job offers £15ph PLUS a £250 completion bonus.

The Vets Now vacancy says:

"Our Receptionists are the first point of contact when a client calls or arrives at a clinic. Over Christmas and New Year our emergency clinics are particularly busy requiring additional support for emergency cases.

"This is a great opportunity to earn just over £1000 for 7 days over the Christmas period."

The Rota pattern for this short-term Macclesfield job is as follows:

Tuesday 21st December – Induction 7pm to 11pm

Saturday 25th December

Sunday 26th December

Monday 27th December

Tuesday 28th December

Saturday 1st January

Sunday 2nd January

You will be required to work 1200 to 2000 across all shifts, barring the induction.

Speed is key in arranging emergency consultations, and efficient but accurate note taking in tracking admissions or discharges is essential.

Vets Now added:

"You will be responsible for communicating clearly with our nursing team and clients keeping everybody updated and informed.

"You will be resilient, caring and empathetic particularly when working with clients who may be distressed or anxious."
