The corporate leadership team that runs Macclesfield Leisure Centre and other local sport centres are up for an award.

Everybody Health and Leisure's Leadership Team are finalists in the ukactive Awards for the 'Outstanding Leadership Award', in recognition of the strong demonstration of leadership at all levels across the charity.

And you can vote for them to win the whole thing ON THIS LINK.

It is a remarkable achievement for the board, as it was only last year when the new Everybody Leadership Team was formed.

Macclesfield Leisure Centre, of Priory Lane.

This was following the retirement of the previous CEO. To enable recovery from the impact of the pandemic, a refreshed and sustainable leadership team was necessary, one that could lead at pace and kickstart a period of organisational change, against significant external disruption.

Now, the fresh leadership's efforts has been recognised at a national level.

Achievements included scoring their highest customer survey score, a 25% increase in turnover and their reserves being at the highest level in nine years.

Katie Harrop, Head of People and Organisational Development at Everybody shared: "We're thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award. It recognises not solely the work of the Everybody Leadership Team, but the outstanding leadership demonstrated across the organisation at all levels.

Macclesfield Leisure Centre, in Upton Priory.

"The whole Everybody team have worked together, determined to re-build bigger and better, and being shortlisted recognises all these efforts of our people to deliver our fantastic achievements."

In the past year, they have recruited 278 people, taught 5000 Cheshire children to swim and trained almost 8000 kids to ride a bike.

They have also delivered targeted health schemes such as exercise referral, long covid and specialist rehabilitation to over 2,120 people in Cheshire East.

These achievements have been recognised by making the final of these awards, which you can vote for HERE.
