It hasn't even been empty for a month - but it looks like the old Macclesfield Iceland building has found a new purpose.

Posters in the window of the Mill Street retail unit indicate that a company called MaxiDeals are hiring.

The poster states 'coming soon' but does not mention the word 'Macclesfield', despite the listing of job vacancies.

MaxiDeals - who are a branded discount store - have been contacted for comment.

MaxiDeals will be competing with similar shop Savers just down the road in Macclesfield, but since Poundland shut (also on Mill Street) there has been one less discount retailer, which MaxiDeals could see as a gap in the market to fill.
