A Macclesfield man has been arrested amid reports of child sex offences.
Cheshire Police have arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child and inciting a teenage girl to engage in sexual activity.
The arrest, on Tuesday (November 4), follows an allegation of online child sex offences from the vigilante group, People Against Child Exploitation UK.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Following a report to police on Tuesday, November 4, of an allegation of online child sex offences, officers arrested a 42-year-old man from Macclesfield on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child and inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity.
"He has since been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries."
