Macclesfield: Man caught with multiple Class A drugs arrested on The Silk Road

A young man has been charged with drug offences following a vehicle stop in Macclesfield.

At around 11.30am on Tuesday 1 March, officers stopped a grey car on Silk Road.

Inside the BMW, a quantity of drugs and money were discovered.

Mathew Ferguson, 24, of no fixed address, was arrested and subsequently charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin), possession of criminal property, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and theft.

Ferguson is believed to be from the Salford area, over 21 miles away from our town.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday March 2.

He has been further remanded to appear at Chester Crown Court on March 30.
